How does faith relate to Christ's sacrifice?

Answered in 1 source

Faith relates to Christ's sacrifice as it allows us to trust in His atonement for our sins.

Faith is intricately connected to the atonement that Christ accomplished on the cross. It is through faith that we accept the reality of Christ's sacrifice for our sins. As Hebrews 9:22 states, 'Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins.' Christ's blood is the means by which we are cleansed from sin, and faith serves as the hand that receives that cleansing. When we exercise faith, we acknowledge our need for His sacrifice and accept the forgiveness He offers. Additionally, the New Testament shows that faith in Christ's finished work is what justifies us before God; it is the channel through which we receive God's grace and mercy, thus emphasizing the central role of faith in the redemptive process.
