How does faith relate to good works?

Answered in 1 source

Faith is the foundation for good works, as true faith naturally produces a desire to act in obedience to God.

Faith and good works are intrinsically linked within the Christian life. Ephesians 2:10 states that 'we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works.' This highlights that good works arise from a genuine faith in Christ. As believers, our works are not a means to salvation but the outflow of a life transformed by faith. Faith produces good works as a response to God’s love and grace, showcasing our gratitude and obedience to His will. Moreover, it affirms the authenticity of our faith, as James 2:26 reminds us that 'faith without works is dead.'
