How does faith relate to our heavenly inheritance?

Answered in 1 source

Faith is the means by which believers lay hold of their heavenly inheritance, which is secured through Christ.

Faith plays a critical role in our understanding and possession of the heavenly inheritance promised to believers (Romans 8:17). It is through faith that we are connected to Christ, our elder brother, who purchased our salvation and inheritance with His own life (Ephesians 1:14). This inheritance is not something we earn but is received as a gift, affirming that our relationship with God is based on grace and not our works. Therefore, faith acts as the title to our inheritance, demonstrating that everything we need, including our eternal life, is found in Christ alone.
