How does Galatians teach about the relationship between law and grace?

Answered in 1 source

Galatians illustrates that grace frees us from the law, which cannot justify us, showing that faith in Christ is our only means of justification.

In Galatians, Paul argues fervently that the law does not provide justification. He states in Galatians 2:16 that a man is justified not by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ. The law, while holy, is incapable of saving anyone; it only serves to show us our sinfulness and our need for a Savior. Therefore, grace, as the unmerited favor of God, becomes the means by which we are accepted in Christ. The transformative nature of grace is that it removes the burden of the law and its demands, allowing us to live in the freedom of Christ’s finished work.
