How does God bring us to the point of needing Him?

Answered in 1 source

God brings us to the point of needing Him through circumstances that reveal our helplessness and desperation, as seen in Luke 8.

The journey towards recognizing our need for God often comes through profound experiences of desperation, much like Jairus facing the imminent death of his daughter. In moments when we confront our limitations and the stark reality of sin's consequences, God's grace works to bring us to the end of ourselves—where we can acknowledge that He is our only hope. As we see in the biblical account, both Jairus and the woman with the issue of blood reached the foot of Jesus only when they recognized their utter lack of ability to resolve their situations. This divine prompting points us to the understanding that God orchestrates events in our lives to direct our attention to Him, preparing our hearts to turn in faith and desperation toward the Savior.
