How does God change our hearts to be willing?

Answered in 1 source

God changes our hearts to be willing through the work of His grace and the Holy Spirit.

The transformation of our hearts to be willing is a direct result of God's grace at work in us. In 2 Corinthians 8, it is highlighted that the Macedonian churches' willingness to give stemmed from a miraculous work of God in their hearts. Before we can have a willing heart, God must first change our hearts of stone to hearts of flesh, enabling us to align our desires with His will. This process is not something we can achieve by our own efforts; it requires the power of the Holy Spirit to convict us, to encourage us, and to inspire us to act according to God's desires.
