How does God comfort us in our afflictions?

Answered in 1 source

God comforts us in our afflictions through His presence and sympathy in Christ.

In all our afflictions, God shares in our suffering, as expressed in Isaiah 63:9, which affirms that 'in all their afflictions, He was afflicted.' This means that God, through Christ, truly empathizes with our pain and sorrows. The Lord Jesus, who experienced human suffering, is our high priest who understands our weaknesses and intercedes for us. Thus, we can find comfort in knowing that we are never alone in our trials, as He carries us through every hardship with His powerful love and grace.
