How does God demonstrate His wisdom through the crucifixion?

Answered in 1 source

God demonstrates His wisdom through the crucifixion by using what is deemed foolish by the world to bring about salvation.

Paul articulates in 1 Corinthians 1:19-21 that God has made the wisdom of the world foolish and has chosen what is low and despised to confound the wise. The crucifixion thus becomes a divine paradox. The death of Christ, which seems like defeat at face value, is revealed through the resurrection as the ultimate victory over sin and death. This divine wisdom is pivotal as it shows God's providential orchestration of events, where even those who conspired against Christ fulfilled God’s predetermined plan (Acts 2:23). Therefore, the crucifixion serves to highlight the nature of God's love and justice, bringing glory to Him through what the world viewed as trivial.
