How does God gather His elect according to the sermon?

Answered in 1 source

God gathers His elect through the preaching of the gospel, redeeming them from their scattered state.

God's gathering of His elect is achieved through the proclamation of the gospel. This process is beautifully illustrated in Matthew 13, where Christ speaks of gathering the wheat into His garner. The gospel serves as the means through which God draws His chosen ones to Himself, transforming them from a state of separation caused by sin into a united body of Christ. This gathering is initiated by the Holy Spirit, who works through the foolishness of preaching to regenerate and bring to faith those whom God has predestined. As God gathers His people, He also prepares them for the ultimate gathering at Christ's return, as stated in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17.
