How does God judge those outside of Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Those outside of Christ will be judged according to their works, resulting in condemnation due to sin.

God's judgment of those outside of Christ is serious and foreboding, as described in 1 Peter 1:17, which states that He judges without respect of persons. This means that all people will stand before God to give account of their works, and since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23), the result will be condemnation if their works are not covered by Christ’s righteousness. Romans 1:28-32 illustrates the judgment on the unrighteous, highlighting their sinful behavior and the ultimate consequence of eternal separation from God. Thus, without the safeguard of Christ's blood, individuals must answer for their sins and pay the price of death, as noted in Hebrews 9:27, which states, 'And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.'
