How does God keep His own people?

Answered in 1 source

God keeps His people through His power, preserving them in faith until the end.

The preservation of the saints is a fundamental aspect of Reformed theology. God's Word assures us that true believers will be held fast by His mighty power. As mentioned in Jeremiah 32:40, God promises, 'I will make an everlasting covenant with them that I will not turn away from them, to do them good.' This reflects God's unwavering commitment to maintain His relationship with His people. Furthermore, it is the Holy Spirit's work that ensures regeneration and empowers believers to persevere. John 10:28 signifies this truth: 'I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish.' Such truths enrich believers' assurance of their salvation and provide a deep-rooted confidence in God's faithfulness.
