How does God limit provisions for His people?

Answered in 1 source

God may limit certain provisions to demonstrate His grace and prevent pride in blessings.

In the sermon, it is explained that while King Artaxerxes prescribed limits for the amounts of silver, flour, wine, and oil, he did not prescribe limits on salt. This signifies God's abundant grace that does not have limitations. God often limits our provisions to keep us humble and reliant on Him, as illustrated by Job's experience when he lost everything yet claimed, 'The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.' These limits serve to deepen our dependence on God's grace, ensuring we understand that every good thing ultimately comes from Him.
