How does God measure our giving?

Answered in 1 source

God measures our giving not by the amount but by the heart and willingness behind the gift.

In God's eyes, the value of a gift is determined by the spirit in which it is given rather than the quantity. As seen in Luke 21:1-4, Jesus illustrates this point by praising the widow who gave two mites—far less than the rich—but recognized her gift as greater because she gave all she had. Similarly, in 2 Corinthians 9:7, Paul states that God loves a cheerful giver, indicating that the willingness and sacrifice behind the gift are what truly matter. Hence, our giving should reflect gratitude and love, acknowledging God's abundant grace in our lives.
