How does God receive sinners?

Answered in 2 sources

God receives sinners who come to Him humbly, seeking mercy and recognizing their need for salvation.

While Christ rejects those who approach Him with pride or false motives, He graciously receives sinners who come humbly. This principle is illustrated through accounts of individuals in the Gospels who sought Jesus, such as Blind Bartimaeus, who cried out for mercy (Mark 10:47), and the repentant thief on the cross, who acknowledged Christ’s Lordship (Luke 23:42). The key to being received by Christ lies not in one’s works or heritage, but in an attitude of repentance, humility, and recognition of one's need for Him. Thus, the Gospel message is clear: salvation is available to all who seek it sincerely, regardless of their past, when they approach God in need of His grace.
