For example, when Moses partially disobeyed by striking the rock instead of speaking to it as God commanded, he faced severe consequences, not being allowed to enter the Promised Land (Numbers 20). Likewise, Saul's failure to completely destroy the Amalekites resulted in God rejecting him as king (1 Samuel 15).
