How does God respond to the corruption of leaders in the church?

God is sovereign over all things, including the church and its leaders. In times of corruption, as seen in 1 Samuel 2:27-34, God sends a man of God to Eli to pronounce judgment and reveal His plans. This illustrates God's active role in both judging false leadership and providing for His true church. When leaders depart from His ways, God raises up replacements who will faithfully minister and uphold His truth.
