How does God's grace address our pride?

Answered in 1 source

God's grace serves as a counter to pride by reminding us that all we have is given and that we should glory in Him alone (1 Corinthians 4:7).

1 Corinthians 4:7 directly challenges the notion of pride by asking, 'For who makes you differ from another? And what do you have that you did not receive?' This verse elucidates that all gifts, revelations, and strengths come from God. Therefore, boasting in ourselves becomes meaningless. Instead, God's grace is a constant reminder of our need for Him, helping us to stay humble and focused on Christ. By experiencing His grace, we learn to joyfully acknowledge Him as the source of all good gifts, undermining the tendency to take pride in personal achievements.
