How does God's grace affect our desire for Him?

Answered in 1 source

God's grace transforms our hearts, creating a genuine desire to seek and long for Him.

According to the sermon, the desire to seek God is not natural to humanity but is instilled by His sovereign grace. Our carnal nature is at enmity with God, as mentioned in Job 15:14. However, through grace, believers receive a new heart that thirsts for the true and living God, which is depicted in Psalm 42. This transformation compels us to desire a deeper relationship with Him and to actively seek Him as the source of our spiritual nourishment and life.
