How does God’s grace enable faith?

Answered in 1 source

God's grace enables faith by opening the hearts and minds of sinners to embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ.

According to Scripture, God's grace is the initiating force that allows individuals to come to faith. In Revelation 1:3, it is stated that 'blessed are those who hear the words of this prophecy,' showing that it is God’s grace that enables some to hear and believe. Without this divine influence, people remain in spiritual blindness. As seen in 1 John 5:10, the one who believes in the Son has the witness in themselves, meaning that God has enabled them to understand and accept the truth of the gospel. Therefore, faith itself is a gift from God, rooted in His sovereign grace.
