How does God’s grace function in salvation?

Answered in 1 source

God’s grace is the unmerited favor enabling us to receive salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.

Salvation is by God's grace, as indicated in Ephesians 2:8-9. This grace is God's unearned favor, allowing sinners to be redeemed through faith in Christ's atoning work (Romans 3:24). Philippians 1:6 assures us that God initiates the work of salvation in our hearts and will continue it until completion. Grace is not merely a one-time act but involves a continual relationship with Christ where believers are sustained and nourished in their faith. Consequently, salvation is both a gift actively given by God and an ongoing journey of grace that believers experience as they grow in their relationship with Him.
