How does God's grace support us in suffering?

Answered in 1 source

God's grace sustains believers through their suffering by drawing them closer to Him.

In times of affliction, believers may wonder why God allows suffering. According to Scripture, such challenges serve to humble us and prevent pride, as noted by Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:7. It is through our thorns, or struggles, that God's grace is revealed as sufficient. We remember His past mercies and grace, which provide both comfort and the assurance that He is with us. The experience of suffering is intended to draw the believer closer to God, allowing His grace to shine most brightly in our darkest moments.
