How does God's grace support us in times of trial?

Answered in 1 source

God's grace provides strength and comfort in both joyful and painful circumstances.

In the life of Abraham, we see both the joy of receiving the promised son and the sorrow of having to cast out Ishmael, the son of Hagar. Throughout these events, God's grace is a sustaining force. Abraham experienced deep grief at having to send away his son, yet God reassured him that His grace would be sufficient. In Genesis 21:12-13, God instructs Abraham not to grieve over the bondwoman and her son, highlighting that even in heartache, God provides wisdom and comfort. Furthermore, the reality of God's grace is affirmed in all aspects of our lives as Christians. Whether we are rejoicing in God's blessings or enduring trials, His grace is ever-present to support us, as stated in 2 Corinthians 12:9, where Paul teaches that God's grace is sufficient for us and His power is made perfect in our weakness.
