How does God's love affect His people?

Answered in 1 source

God's love for His people is transformative, instilling confidence and assurance in their relationship with Him.

The love that God has for His people is foundational and eternal. Isaiah 43:4 indicates that God considers His people precious and has loved them, which underscores their value in His sight. This divine love does not stem from any inherent merit within us, but rather from God's sovereign grace. Romans 5:8 further illustrates this by stating, 'God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.' Understanding that we are loved by God dispels fear and encourages confidence in His faithfulness. It reassures us that we are accepted in the Beloved (Ephesians 1:6) and that God's plans for us are rooted in His goodness. As we recognize our worth in His eyes, we are compelled to respond with faith and obedience, living lives that reflect His love and grace to others.
