How does God's love compare to our love?

Answered in 1 source

God's love is eternal, unwavering, and unconditional, unlike our often fluctuating affections.

God's love is distinct in its permanence and character. Ephesians 1:4 reveals that God chose His people in Christ before the foundation of the world, indicating that His love is not based on our actions but is grounded in His sovereign will. In contrast, human love can be contingent, fleeting, or conditional. Understanding the greatness of God's unchanging love encourages us to respond to Him with our hearts fully devoted to loving Him and others, even in our imperfection. His love serves as the foundation for our love and provides a model we are called to emulate.
