How does God's love differ from human love in relation to sins?

Answered in 1 source

God's love is perfect and is exemplified in the sacrifice of Christ, while human love can often be conditionally based and flawed.

God's love is fundamentally different from human expressions of love. It is perfect, unconditional, and demonstrated through the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Unlike human love, which can fluctuate based on feelings or circumstances, God's love remains steadfast and is not based on our performance. His love pays the penalty for our sins, ensuring that they are not just overlooked, but fully atoned for. The understanding that God loves us while we were yet sinners (Romans 5:8) illustrates the depth of His grace and the nature of His love that surpasses all understanding. In this way, God’s love enables us to approach Him with confidence, knowing that our sins are covered.
