How does God's pleasure in believers relate to their faith?

Answered in 1 source

God's pleasure in believers is rooted in their faith in Christ, which grants them righteousness before Him.

God's delight in believers is intrinsically connected to their faith in Jesus Christ. As highlighted in the sermon, when a believer places their faith in Christ, they are viewed as righteous because of His righteousness, which is credited to them. This imputed righteousness is the foundation for God's pleasure in His elect. Every believer, as they trust Christ solely for their salvation, stands before God accepted and pleasing, as faith is the channel through which they receive divine grace. God looks upon believers through the lens of Christ, and their faith assures them that they are honored and cherished by Him, thus leading to a life that reflects His glory and divine purpose.
