How does God's purpose stand according to the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

God's purpose stands firm and cannot be thwarted; His counsel will prevail.

The Bible affirms that God's purpose and counsel will stand unopposed. In Proverbs 12:27, we see a contrast between the diligent and the slothful, indicating that the diligent man is precious because he seeks what truly matters—Christ. Despite the efforts of the wicked to establish their own righteousness, they will ultimately fail since they do not submit to God's righteousness (Romans 10:3). God's purposes are rooted in His eternal will, ensuring that what He has decreed will come to pass, providing a foundation of hope for believers.
