How does God’s rest in creation relate to the believer’s rest?

Answered in 1 source

God’s rest after creation exemplifies the believer's complete salvation and assurance in Christ.

The rest that God took after creation illustrates the spiritual rest that believers experience through faith in Christ. Just as God completed His work in creation and rested, believers find their rest in thefinished work of salvation through Jesus. This concept of rest signifies that there is nothing more required from the believer; all necessary work for salvation was achieved by Christ. Hence, when believers trust in Him, they enter into a state of peace and assurance, reflecting the same completeness God demonstrated in His creation.
