How does God's sovereignty affect our understanding of evil in the world?

Answered in 1 source

God's sovereignty affirms that He has control over all, including events that appear evil.

The presence of evil can lead many to question God's sovereignty, but the Bible argues that He is in control of all events. Job's lamentation and questions about the wickedness present in the world remind us that God is sovereign even when circumstances seem unjust. Amos 3:6 states clearly that if evil occurs within a city, it is the Lord who has allowed it to happen. This understanding pushes believers to trust that even through trials and suffering, God has a purposeful design and ultimate control over all creation.
