How does God's sovereignty relate to evil and suffering?
Answered in 1 source
God’s sovereignty allows for the existence of evil and suffering, yet He uses them for His purposes.
God's sovereignty encompasses all of creation, including the presence of evil and suffering in the world. Revelation 9 illustrates that the calamities and torments released upon the earth, specifically through demonic beings, are under His ultimate authority and control. While these forces inflict suffering, they serve to fulfill God's righteous purposes and judgments against sin. This teaches Christians that even in the face of darkness and turmoil, God remains sovereign, allowing hardship to draw His people towards repentance and a deeper reliance on Him. His sovereignty brings comfort, knowing that nothing occurs outside of His plan.
