How does God's sovereignty relate to the assurance of salvation?

Answered in 1 source

God's sovereignty assures us that those He has chosen will be saved and preserved until the end.

Philippians 1:6 offers a comforting promise that He who began a good work in us will complete it. This underscores the fact that our salvation is not solely reliant on our own efforts but is anchored in God's sovereign will. Additionally, in John 10:28-29, Jesus affirms that no one can snatch His sheep out of His hand, providing a strong assurance of eternal security. Therefore, as we recognize God's absolute sovereignty in salvation, we find peace in knowing that our salvation is safe and secure in His capable hands.
