How does God's sovereignty relate to the foundations of our faith?

Answered in 1 source

God's sovereignty is the basis for the stability of our faith, as He establishes all things according to His eternal purposes.

God's sovereignty is paramount in understanding the foundations of our faith. He is the ultimate architect of creation, having laid the earth's foundations in accordance with His covenant with Christ. In Ephesians 1:4-5, we see that believers were chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world. This highlights God’s sovereign plan and reveals how every aspect of creation and redemption is intertwined within His purpose. Thus, when we affirm that Christ is the foundation, we are acknowledging that our faith stands firm because it rests upon God's sovereign will and promise, which cannot fail.
