How does God's view of believers affect our relationship with Him?

Answered in 1 source

God's view of believers as His children transforms our relationship, allowing us to approach Him with confidence and without fear.

The way God perceives believers deeply influences our relationship with Him. According to 1 John 3:1, we are called the children of God, thus changing our standing from subjects of wrath to beloved children. This adoption brings us into a familial relationship with God, meaning we can approach Him as a loving father without fear of condemnation. Romans 5:1-2 tells us we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Understanding that God views us through the lens of Christ’s righteousness fosters security in our relationship with Him, encouraging us in prayer and obedience as His children.
