How does God sanctify His people?

Answered in 2 sources

God sanctifies His people by calling them out of their sinful state and transforming them into vessels of honor through Christ.

Sanctification is the work of God whereby He separates His people from sin and makes them holy. Hebrews 10:10 states, 'By the will of God, we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.' This process involves God's sovereign choice and action, where He takes the hearts of His people, who are initially unholy and corrupt, and transforms them through His grace. God uses various experiences—often likened to the processes of threshing or refining—to remove impurities and shape believers into the likeness of Christ. In doing so, He prepares them for good works that glorify Him.
