How does God use delays in fulfilling His promises?

Answered in 1 source

God often uses delays to build our faith and to display His glory in ways we can't foresee.

Delays can be a part of God's sovereign plan to accomplish multiple purposes simultaneously. In the case of Jairus and the woman with the issue of blood, the delay in healing resulted in both a miraculous healing of a woman and the demonstration of Christ's power over death. Such events illustrate that when God seems to delay answering our prayers, it is often for our spiritual growth and for the glory of His name, as He orchestrates events that we may not fully understand at the moment.
