How does God use sickness for His glory?

Answered in 1 source

God uses sickness to display His glory, drawing believers and others closer to Him.

God allows sickness not only to try and prove the faith of His followers but also to manifest His power and glory. In John 11:4, Jesus stated, 'This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God.' Lazarus's illness ultimately led to a miracle that revealed Christ's divine authority over life and death, enabling others to witness the glory of God. Thus, trials of all kinds are vessels through which God can reveal His providence, mercy, and grace, not only to those who suffer but also to the surrounding community.
