How does God use trials for good?

Answered in 2 sources

God uses trials to draw us closer to Himself and prepare us for His purpose, as suggested in Romans 8:28.

In scripture, particularly Romans 8:28, we see that God works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Trials often serve as agents of spiritual growth, bringing us to a deeper awareness of our dependence on God. For example, in the sermon, the nobleman's dire situation led him to seek Jesus earnestly. His son's illness became the means by which he discovered true faith. The belief that God uses hardships for greater ends can transform how we view our suffering; it becomes a tool for His glory and our sanctification. The nobleman’s faith journey illustrates how God can turn what seems like misfortune into a miracle of salvation.
