How does God use trials in the life of a believer?

Answered in 1 source

God uses trials to refine our faith and draw us closer to Him.

In the life of a believer, trials serve as a means through which God works to cultivate faith and dependence upon Him. Hebrews 12:5-6 reminds us that divine chastening is a mark of God's love, aimed at our growth in holiness. Trials may seem grievous in the moment, but they yield the peaceable fruit of righteousness for those who are exercised by them. Through these experiences, believers are compelled to lean on God's grace, understanding that their struggles produce endurance and ultimately a deeper fellowship with Christ.
