How does God use trials to prove His people?

Answered in 1 source

God uses trials to test and prove the faith of His people.

God’s testing of His people is a biblical theme present throughout Scripture, as illustrated in James 1:2-4, which encourages believers to count it all joy when they face trials, knowing that testing produces perseverance. Trials serve to refine our faith, showing us the areas where we need to grow and increasing our reliance on God. As seen during Paul’s voyage where he faced contrary winds, these challenges are designed by God to develop character and bring His purposes to fruition. Believers are called to trust in God's sovereign plan even when trials arise, knowing they ultimately serve to deepen faith and reliance on Him.
