How does God use trials to reveal Himself to us?

Answered in 1 source

God uses trials to humble us and teach us to depend on Him, ultimately revealing His character as our healer.

God often employs trials as a means of revealing His character and bringing about our growth. In the case of the Israelites at Marah, their experience of bitter waters taught them about their need for God and His ability to transform their hardships. God leads His people through difficult situations to expose their need for healing and to reveal Himself as 'Jehovah Rapha'—the Lord who heals. Each trial serves to remind us of our limitations and God's sufficiency, cultivating a deeper relationship with the Father as we learn to seek Him in our brokenness and recognize His healing grace in our lives.
