Grace alone leads to a changed life, where believers are empowered by the Holy Spirit to perform good works (Ephesians 2:8-10).
The doctrine of grace alone emphasizes that salvation comes solely through Christ's atoning work, without any merit from our actions (Ephesians 2:8-9). However, this grace does not remain idle; it transforms the believer's life. As stated in Ephesians 2:10, we are created in Christ for good works which God prepared beforehand for us to walk in. Genuine faith expresses itself in love and good deeds as an outflow of gratitude for what Christ has done. Thus, while we are saved by grace, that grace will invariably produce fruit in our lives, strengthening the belief that faith without works is dead.
