How does grace influence the labor of a believer?

Answered in 1 source

Grace empowers the labor of a believer, making their works a result of God's divine activity within them.

Grace fundamentally alters the nature of a believer's labor. As highlighted in 1 Corinthians 15:10, Paul speaks of his labor not being in vain, but rather it is by the grace of God that he is what he is. This means that all the good works and efforts of a believer stem from an acknowledgment that they are enabled by God’s grace. When believers labor, they do so knowing that it is God's work within them that bears fruit. Thus, their striving is not for merit but a testimony of grace working through them that leads to eternal life, reinforcing their dependence on Him for strength and understanding in their walk of faith.
