How does grace lead to joy?

Joy is a natural byproduct of experiencing God's grace in our lives. In 2 Corinthians 8, Paul notes that the Macedonians, despite their deep poverty, experienced abundance of joy that overflowed in their generosity. This joy comes from understanding that our salvation and standing before God are based on grace alone, not our works or merits.
