How does grace overcome the law regarding dietary restrictions?

Answered in 1 source

Grace liberates us from the law, allowing all foods to be received with thanksgiving.

In the New Testament, especially as articulated in Acts and the epistles, we see that grace abolishes the stringent dietary laws that once defined the Jewish people. Acts 10 recounts Peter's vision where he learns that what God has cleansed, he should not call common. This foreshadows the reality that believers can receive all foods with thanksgiving, as indicated in 1 Timothy 4:3-4. The principle here is that our relationship with God is not determined by dietary laws but by faith in Christ, fulfilling all righteousness.
