How does grace reign in the life of a believer?

Answered in 3 sources

Grace reigns in a believer's life by empowering and transforming them to live in accordance with God's will (Romans 5:21).

In the life of a believer, grace reigns by transforming motivations, actions, and understanding towards living a life reflective of God's righteousness. Romans 5:21 articulates that grace reigns 'through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.' This means that grace not only justifies and redeems but also actively works within believers to convict, guide, and enable them to pursue holiness. Grace compels believers to exalt Christ, reject the old ways of sin, and live lives that glorify God. It challenges the self-centered tendencies that exist as a result of the flesh, allowing believers to rest in the finished work of Christ while empowering them to engage actively in good works that reflect their transformed nature. Hence, grace is not static but a dynamic force in the believer's life that continuously shapes them into the likeness of Christ.
