How does hope purify a believer's life?

Answered in 1 source

Hope purifies believers by motivating them to live in accordance with God's holiness and reflecting Christ's character.

1 John 3:3 states, 'And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.' This indicates that the hope believers hold in Christ compels them to pursue holiness and a life that pleases God. When we understand the glorious future awaiting us, we are inspired to reflect on our current lives and seek purity and righteousness. This hope encourages a character transformation, aligning our actions and behaviors with our eternal destiny to be like Christ, which is the purpose of our calling.
