How does Jesus fulfill the command to serve God perfectly?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus fulfills the command to serve God perfectly by living a sinless life, thus achieving what no other human can.

In Joshua 24, the emphasis is laid on the call to serve the Lord, yet the reality is presented that no man can fulfill this command due to our sinful nature. However, Jesus Christ, as the embodiment of obedience, fulfilled the law perfectly. He is the 'beloved Son' in whom the Father is well pleased. Galatians 2:20 states that believers live by faith in the Son of God who loved them and gave Himself for them. Therefore, through union with Christ, believers are seen as perfect in Him, receiving His righteousness and fulfilling the command to serve God through His strength and grace.
