How does Jesus heal the spiritually sick?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus heals the spiritually sick by taking their sins upon Himself and offering forgiveness and new life.

In coming to heal the spiritually sick, Jesus addresses the root cause of our affliction—sin. As stated in Romans 5:8, 'God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.' He bears our sickness and sin, offering us forgiveness and cleansing through His sacrifice. The healing process awakens in individuals an understanding of their lost condition and leads them to embrace His redemptive grace, transforming them from spiritual death to new life. This healing impacts our entire existence, changing our desires and leading us to follow Him wholeheartedly.
