How does Jesus reveal Himself in relation to the names of God?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus embodies the names of God, fulfilling and expanding their meanings to show us His divine nature.

Throughout the New Testament, Jesus identifies Himself with the names of God found in the Old Testament, thus demonstrating His divine nature. For instance, He refers to Himself as 'The bread of life' and 'The light of the world', both of which connect back to the attributes of God’s provision and illumination. By claiming these names, Jesus not only affirms His divinity but also illustrates the fullness of God’s provision through Him. Hence, understanding these names in the light of Christ enriches our comprehension of who Jesus is and the complete work He accomplishes for our salvation.
