How does Jesus' role as mediator affect our relationship with God?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus' role as mediator means we can approach God confidently, knowing our sins are atoned for and we are accepted in Him.

As our mediator, Jesus bridges the gap between sinful humanity and a holy God. His priestly work allows us to come boldly to the throne of grace, knowing that He has satisfied God's justice in our place (Hebrews 4:16). This relationship with God is not based on our works but on His finished work, providing assurance that we are fully accepted by Him through Christ. The eternal intercession of Jesus means that our relationship with God is maintained and nurtured continuously.
